Yoga and Hiking to Orpheus Peak, Rhodope Mountain
Hotel Ismena, Devin
During the beautiful autumn days we will gather at the wonderful Ismena Hotel in Devin to practice yoga, and on Saturday we will hike to Orpheus Peak.
On Friday I will be waiting for you to arrive and relax after the weekly engagements in a friendly environment, enjoying the greenery around and the beauty of the hotel. We will begin with yoga practice, breathing techniques, and in the evening we will have a meditation.
On Saturday, after a light yoga practice and breakfast in the morning, we will head to the village of Gela from where we will start our ascent to Orpheus peak. The hike to the top will take us about 3 hours. There we will have a picnic on the lawn with delicious meals prepared by the hotel. After spending time to admire the amazing views, we will head back down to the village.
We will be back in the hotel around 19 p.m., where a dinner of delicious meals will be waiting for us.
Orpheus Peak is the second highest peak of the Rhodope Mountains with altitude of 2188 m. Many breathtaking views reveal to those who undertake the hike to the top. We will be accompanied by an experienced mountain guide who will choose the most suitable and most picturesque route for us. Timings are approximate and depend on the pace of the group.
On Sunday we will start our day with yoga and delicious breakfast. After we check out of the hotel around 12.00 we can visit the Devil’s Throat Cave or take a walk along Struilitsa Eco Path and see the Samodivsko praskalo Waterfall. We can have a late lunch somewhere in the area. The program after 12.00 on Sunday is not organized.
